BIO

Josh Green writes freelance magazine and newspaper stories, long and short fiction, and edits the popular news site Urbanize Atlanta (formerly Curbed Atlanta editor) in his adopted home city of Atlanta.  

His first novel, Secrets of Ash, is now available here.  

His work has appeared in publications such as Atlanta magazine, Garden & GunIndianapolis Monthly, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Los Angeles Review, The Baltimore Review, Ascent, and The Indianapolis Star.

Since 2003, his newspaper writing has won numerous statewide awards in Indiana and Georgia — including top prizes in 2010 (feature writing) and 2012 (investigative reporting) among all major Georgia newspapers, and a distinguished 2017 honor among all Atlanta media.  

His first book, Dirtyville Rhapsodies, was published by Parkgate Press. Men's Health magazine heralded the short story collection as a "Best Book for the Beach" alongside Dan Brown and Stephen King. Later, Atlanta magazine named it a Top 10 Book of 2013.
